Projects

Our team have been deeply involved in these award-winning projects.

Gresham Street

60 Gresham street is a mix of modern and traditional styles of stonework. It is a new build 8 story office with three facades of pre-cast concrete backed Portland Stone cladding. Work is taken from design developments including all fixes and interface details.

Aylesbury Theatre

Opened in 2010, Aylesbury Theatre is a grand venue that shows a range of west-end musicals, operas and ballet.

Sea Container House

A 224,000 square foot office and leisure space located on London's South Bank. Finished in 2014 after a short time being redeveloped, it shows strong ties with the original building, capturing an essence of 1920's glamour.

Diamond Synchrotron

This is the largest UK-funded scientific facility to be built for over 40 years.

Wentworth

The design and installation of precast stonework to pilasters, capitals, plinths, cornices, and ashlars.

Paternoster Square

Named after the medieval street, Paternoster Row, and home to a wide variety of shops and offices, Paternoster Square is an award winning site that showcases both brickwork and stonework.

Lancaster Gate

Northacre / Minerva 2008 - 2010

 

Formed of structural box frames to openings within a spine wall with traditional brickwork, 18” internal party walls and traditional chimneys and flues and stacks

North Audley Street

Bermondsey Spa

Willmott Dixon  2011 - 2012

 

Residential development of 7 apartment blocks. 3 – 10 storey, external brick and internal blockwork.At the hieght of the project Bishops where employing  70 Bricklayers, 15 Improvers and 35 hod carriers. 

Lombard Street

Sir Robert McAlpine 2002 -2003

 

New build 8-storey office with four facades of Portland Stone. Work taken from design development including all fixings and interface details £3.8M

Design, supply and erection of precast concrete backing panels to form inner skin and brace steel frame

Hans Place

Hans Place:

Complete removal of the outer skin of brickwork. New steel supports added.  Charnwood light Victorian reds with 1mm joints used to match the existing buildings. Hand-carved murals between bays and bands of terracotta stonework. Internal blockwork to all levels, and granite skirtings at a low level.

Herbert Crescent:

Completely rebuilt with RC frame. Internal blockwork to all levels. Stainless steel wind post. Shelf angles to take the new 1mm joint brickwork incorporating bands of terracotta stone and star-shaped brick panels. Granite skirts at low level.

Dior

The Dior Maison is one of the largest boutiques on New Bond Street and Dior's biggest UK store. The store covers four floors with different departments. The building also features a huge spinal column refurbished over the four floors.

Refurbishment/new build, Face brickwork to the parapet walls with coping stones, Portland stone to the rear, Portland stone staircase, and walls to the internal courtyard. Travertine stone to the front with bronze inlay at a high level.
